Mangy Fox Program
Trap
We have invested in 12 humane traps that we lend out to the public when they have visualized actively sick foxes in their area. Once a fox has been seen in an area on multiple occasions that seems to be sick with a suspected case of mange then we will set up a trap on a persons private property. With the help of the public to keep an eye on the trap and the ability to check it multiple times a day.
Assessment and Evaluate
Once we have successfully trapped the sick fox we will come out to the property and evaluate the fox. We will then examine the fox to determine if the fox is healthy enough that we can medicate for the mange and release on the spot. If we determine the fox has more severe case of mange or has secondary infections then we will bring the fox into care to be treated. once the fox is healed, healthy and fully rehabilitated then we will release back into the wild
