FoxTales Wildlife Rehab is so grateful for our wonderful supporters. We hope you enjoy reading the Coates’ story about how and why they support the FoxTales mission. Enjoy photos of some of the wildlife they have encountered on their property!

How did you first find out about FoxTales Wildlife Rehab?

When the opportunities came up to have baby critters released on our property of almost 5 acres, I jumped on the bandwagon.

In addition to your donations, you are also one of the FoxTales release sites. What made you want to get involved with releasing animals on your property?

We both love critters, that's one of the reasons we bought the property and have worked so hard to clear out old fencing, invasive vines & trees, & planted new plants & trees.

Do you have a favorite wild animal?

Wolves - but obviously they're not around here. Locally, we find all the critters interesting. We've had groundhogs, skunks, foxes, deer, opossums (thanks to FoxTales), turkeys, & rabbits all hanging out or passing through our field. We love watching them, especially when babies are in tow.

Is there anything about wildlife that you wish the public would understand?

You don't have to be a "tree-hugger" to appreciate wildlife. Humans are the invasive species - we need to do better at keeping critters around - for everyone's sake.
